Due to the server move, the chat server ports have changed.

Replying to this post will be the Latin1 and the UTF8 files.

*NOTE* The DEFAULT version for most bots will be "latin1". If you are unsure which version you use, take the latin1 encoding.

Any issues, reply here.

Is the source for the UTF8 going to be in the svn?
Or at least the changes that were made?
As you know, I am using a modified AoLib.dll with other updates

Yeah, I can update the SVN for the core too then. I'll have both lines in the chat using // to comment the one out then. Smiley

Commited to the SVN core.

Why is this hard-coded into a DLL anyway?  Can't we pull this out into a config file rather than requiring a recompile when something like this changes?

Silly.

Hrm, might have the wrong syntax for utf8. Is it utf-8?

I'm stopping a few other projects so I can get Vhabot back going again.

Helpbot's always in dev anyways. Smiley

Fixed the issue regarding utf-8.

I had it originally set to utf8, but it was suppose to be utf-8.

Re-download, and it will work now.

Silly.

Because I was silly when I originally coded it Smiley

It shouldn't be having issues... I checked to make sure the encoding was proper (the online knowledge base says it's "utf-8"... ) and that's what I put.

Can you post the error? I don't use the utf version, so I'm not sure what errors you get. I'll double check the code just to be sure.

Hush up you afk guppy.

:p

* Have run and tested the utf-8 lib, and it starts the bot up no problem.

** Going to post a new copy of the utf-8 lib, one that *does* work on my system... anyone else who are getting issues with the current version, please let me know.

*** Attached is a tested and working version for the utf-8 lib. Please add this and let me know if anyone has any problems with this one.
